Eleri Williams has worked as part of the Wales Cities of Sanctuary Project since April 2015. In this role she developed a team of ‘Sanctuary Speakers’, who are experts-by-experience of the UK asylum system. The team of volunteers delivers awareness-raising training about the UK asylum system to a wide range of audiences. She also co-ordinated a Refugee and Asylum seeker Advocacy forum in Swansea. She has recently joined¬† Swansea Council for Voluntary Services as their BME Skills Project Officer, strengthening and improving governance within the BME voluntary sector in Swansea.

Eleri has an MSc in Development & Human Rights and a BA in History in Politics, both from Swansea University. She is committed to tackling injustice, and supporting those facing marginalisation to access services and opportunities.
